Management Team

Kamal A. Chinoy Chief Executive	B.Sc. Economics from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, USA. Class of 1973 with Triple Major and Dean's List in final year. Trained at Banque Rothschild, Paris, and spent one year in London with an international steel trading company. Thereafter, worked as a self employed entrepreneur for 5 years in the UAE before returning to Pakistan in 1981. Joined International Industries Ltd. and rose to position of Director Marketing, where he oversaw the sales of steel pipe rise from 4,000 MT to 50,000 MT. Took over PCL in 1992 as Chief Executive.
Shahpur H.Channah Deputy Chief Executive	M. A. International Relations, from Karachi University. Central Superior Services 1976/77. One year as Section Officer, Cabinet Division, Federal Government of Pakistan. 9 years at Lever Brothers. Joined as Management Trainee in 1979 and became Product Manager for Edible Oils and Fats. Introduced company's first cooking oil Dalda. Was Sales Manager from 1981 to 1984. As Senior Product Manager of Edible Fats helped introduce Blue Band, Masterline - Industrial and Artisan Fats. Became Group Product Manager in 1986, introduced the company to concept of "Cholesterol" free oil and fats. Helped launch Planta, cooking oil. With Pakistan Cables Ltd., since 1989.
Aslam Sadruddin Finance Director	Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan. Qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1978 and obtained first position in CA Intermediate examination. Also a qualified law graduate. Represented Pakistan at USA and Canada in 1980 as a member of the Rotary group exchange study team. Started his career as head of Finance Department of Singer Pakistan Ltd., a multinational company where he worked for 5 years. Also worked as Finance Controller with Pharmedica (Pvt.) Ltd., an associated company of Boehringer Ingelhelm, a German Pharmaceutical multinational, where he was sent for training and study trips to Japan, Taiwan, Philippines, Germany and Belgium.
Haroon Rashid Zaman Works Manager	Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from N.E.D. University, Karachi. He has over 30 years of experience in Engineering Management, Plant Maintenance, Operations, Project Management and Plant Commissioning with ICI Pakistan Ltd., National Refinery Ltd & KESC. Mr. Haroon Zaman traveled widely to Europe and the Far East. Joined PCL on September 18, 2006.
Athar Farid Technical Manager	B.E. in Electrical Engineering from N.E.D. Government Engineering College, Karachi in 1974 and MBA in Marketing from IBA, Karachi in 1995. Awarded Confederation of British Industry Scholarship and was trained in Quality Control during Cable manufacturing at several factories of BICC, UK. Working with Pakistan Cables in several positions in Marketing and Quality Control, Product Development, Production Planning and as Management Representative ensuring implementation of Quality Management System to ISO 9002. Joined PCL in 1976.
M. A. Muqeet Khan Manager Special Projects	B.E. (Electrical) from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi in 1976. Started working with PCL prior to graduation. After graduation, trained at numerous BICC factories in and around Chester, UK. Also had training visits to BICC group factories such as Dubai Cable Company (DUCAB) and Power Cable Malaysia (PCM). Other study and training visits include trips to Finland, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Singapore and Taiwan. Joined PCL in 1967.
Siraj Cochinwala Human Resource Manager	Commerce Graduate from the University of Karachi. Has 20 years experience in the field of Human Resources and Industrial Relations, having worked with multi-national companies as Head of Human Resources and Legal Affairs at Aventis Pakistan Ltd., Controller Personnel, Paktel Limited (Cable & wireless), Hoechst Pakistan and has recently served as a Senior Consultant Human Resource. Also keen at imparting training on Industrial Relations at the University of Management Sciences, Lahore. He has been appreciated for dedicated services by Agrevo Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd. with a gold medal. Joined PCL on December 01, 2005.
Ahmed Bagia Manager Sales & Operations - Alum-Ex	BE (Metallurgy from NED University in 1979. Worked for 17 years in Pakistan Cables in various departments including Sales & Procurement. Rejoined the Company in March 2002 after a 5 year stint in various companies at senior management levels.
Iftikhar Ahmad Manager Engineering	B.E. (Electrical) from NED University of Karachi, (Pak Navy Engineering College) MS in Communication Engineering from the US Navy Post Graduate School, Monterey California and BSC in War Studies from Karachi University (PN Staff Course) Served the Pakistan Navy in various capacities, having attained the rank of Captain, has now retired after 22 years of service. Joined PCL in November 2002.
Moinuddin Silat Procurement & Material Control Manager	Graduate in Commerce from S.M. College. He brings with him 20 years of vast experience in the commercial and industrial field, most of it with the Dawood Group of Companies. He has had exposure to Procurement and Imports while working with the Dawlance Group. Joined PCL in August 2003.
Abdul Rahman Khokhar National Sales Manager	Master in Business Administration with majors in Finance & Marketing from McGill University, Montreal, Canada. Commenced with a career in Sales Management in 1994, and since has enhanced his experience by working with Gillette Pakistan Ltd. and Wazir Ali Industries Ltd. in Pakistan & with branded hi tech companies in Canada. Mr. Khokhar is a new member of the PCL family and heads the Sales' Team. Joined PCL in April 2005.
Shahid Bashir Bhatty Regional Sales Manager	Bachelor in Economics & Political Science fron University of Pubjab in 1975. Entered into Sales & Distribution with Roti Corp of Pakistan. In 1980, joined BICC and was transferred to Abu Dhabi, Oman and UAE. Started career with PCL as Depot In-charge, Rawalpindi and then to Branch Manager, Rawalpindi. In 1999 he took over as Regional Manager (North) Joined PCL in January 1989.
Fayyaz Ahmed Butt Branch Manager Rawalpindi	Graduated from Gordon College, Rawalpindi and started career with Isfahani Tea in 1973 where he served in Production and Quality Control. In 1981 he joined the hospitality business where he spent about two decades. First with Hilton Hotel, Lahore, then he helped launch Serena Hotels in Pakistan by heading the Sales Dept. and later joined Avis Rent a Car as National Sales Manager. Joined PCL in April 2002.
